Copley offers a range of ready-made flexible shake, fire and flow control systems for individual MDI testing with ACI, NGI, DUSA, waste shot collectors and other devices.

Vertus® II

Vertus® II

Compatible with multiple inhaler and nasal test sampling devices including the NGI, ACI, GTI, DUSA, NSDC, NSWC and waste shot collector

Device shaking is precisely controlled, completely configurable and repeatable

Firing force can be adjusted for ultimate control

User control via an intuitive touchscreen display

By controlling test parameters including the shaking profile, angle of fire, pauses between shaking and firing, the resting position of inhaler and airflow control, the Vertus II ensures high data quality is always achieved.

Up to four DUSA tubes and a waste shot collector can be fitted for DDU testing, or the ACI, NGI or GTI for APSD testing. When a waste shot collector is used, the Vertus II can trap thousands of waste shots safely and conveniently.

Test methods are easily programmed using an intuitive touchscreen display. Once approved and saved, each method can be easily recalled, facilitating efficient testing. With the whole process automated, test methods can be replicated precisely with minimal analyst oversight. With the Vertus Plus, shot weight is automatically recorded using an integrated balance for every shot released. Find out more Here.

Product Features

Multiple inhaler test devices are supported. These include the NGI, Andersen Cascade Impactor (ACI), DUSA and waste shot collector. Vertus can also be configured to support custom devices.

Shaking is performed using closed loop control, which assures that the required motion is achieved. It is precisely controlled, completely configurable and repeatable.

Firing can be configured to apply up to three distinct forces per actuation. These are typically used to set forces that detect, insert and fire the canister.

Data collection records the key parameters during each test. Results can be stored locally, to a USB device or to a Local Area Network (LAN).

Touchscreen Display. Test methods are programmed using an intuitive touchscreen display. Once approved and saved, each method can be recalled.

The inhaler is securely clipped into a holder, which in turn is clipped onto the Vertus. This allows most styles of inhaler to be supported without the need to remove the canister from the inhaler.

Safety standards are complied with: moving parts are enclosed in a transparent screen and a large emergency stop is located on the front.
